Technology-driven solutions for a sustainable future.
A platform for government agencies to manage environmental data and initiatives.
Interactive maps that can be embedded into websites and applications.
At Ecoparsec NGO, we don’t just talk about environmental challenges - we build the digital and media infrastructure to solve them. We are an international non-governmental organization working at the unique intersection of Civic Tech, Citizen Science, and Independent Media.
Our journey began as a grassroots urban mapping initiative in Yerevan, Armenia (formerly known as YRVN.am). Recognizing that global ecological crises require systemic, data-driven solutions, we scaled our vision. Today, Ecoparsec operates as a global open-source ecosystem, empowering citizens, volunteers, researchers, and municipalities with transparent environmental data and impactful visual storytelling.
We believe that traditional environmentalism must be augmented by modern technology and accessible communication. Our work is guided by three foundational pillars:
We believe that environmental data belongs to the public, not just to closed institutions. Through our scalable GIS platforms like Ecomap.ngo and Zoomap.am, we turn raw, hyper-local data into interactive, actionable public knowledge. By blending community crowdsourcing with verified scientific feeds, we map everything from regional recycling grids to urban animal welfare networks.
We are strictly committed to privacy-first, open-source technology. Our platforms run on independent mapping architectures (OpenFreeMap and OpenStreetMap), ensuring zero reliance on commercial API restrictions and absolute transparency in how data is processed, hosted, and shared.
Data is powerful, but only if people understand it. Through our media wing, EcoparsecTV, we translate complex ecological trends, scientific research, and green-living practices into engaging, high-quality video content. We challenge environmental myths, expose eco-violations, and highlight sustainable innovations.
Ecoparsec NGO is more than a core team - we are a remote-friendly, global network of data scientists, GIS map moderators, environmental analysts, video creators, and local eco-scouts.
We don't operate in isolation. By integrating our platforms with cutting-edge citizen-science networks like TUMO Labs Climatenet.am and opening our multi-layered maps to international university research groups, we co-create a smarter, cleaner future.
Whether you are a citizen looking to sort your waste, a researcher with a unique environmental dataset, or a global volunteer wanting to contribute your tech or media skills - there is a place for you in the Ecoparsec ecosystem.
Let’s map, measure, and protect our environment together.
